Hanisa English Study Centre in My Eyes (Part 1)

Well, I guessed, this is the first time I talk about Hanisa English Study Center to the public. Hanisa ESC itself was built in 1987 by the late Mr. Muhammad Syapawi. He was my father. For me, Hanisa is not only a place to learn English, but there's something special that i myself can't explain in words. 26 years is not a short time. I've ever imagined what i should do to this course when my dad left us. I was so afraid if this course was not able to develop and stay exist. But now,  I believed that this course can develop farther, as long as we do our best.
I really appreciated to all former teachers that had ever helped developing this course, Mr. Bowo, Mrs.Maria, Mr. Indra, Mr. Angga, Miss Marli, Miss Nunung etc. Thank you so much for all work you've done. You are all great.

Since i went home in 2012, i have spent a year to teach the students. It's a bit hard year. And finally, I knew that i need to learn more and more to be better in the future. Even though at the last day i only got 8 students who had passed the final exam, I am so excited. I really hope that everything I give to all my students would be helpful for them in the near future.

And for this year, 2013/2014. Hanisa has 4 teachers including me (Rangga), Ronal Arifson, Denni Sukriadi, and Nia Katharina.

Taking about the way I teach, I actually adopted my father's style. It's a simple one. And i like it. Besides, I also combined with some ways that I have learned in my university.

I always remember 4 things that my father always shared at the first meeting of a class. The 4 things that the student must have in learning English in Hanisa.

1. Intention, a big question about why you are here or what you want to do in this place.
2. Diligence, a strong effort to achieve the goal
3. Courage, the students need to be brave to try
4. Durability, the student need to focus and keep studying no matter things happen

This is my second years handling a full class. And i really hope that this class would be better and greater than before. Even though i am still afraid of the X, Y, Z factors, a common problem that always happen every years. The student lose their intention, and leave the class. But i still believe that they still have passion in learning English though.
